Health & Safety:

Every camper's health and safety are important to us.

  • Staff members are trained in safety awareness, child abuse prevention, emergency procedures, First Aid and CPR. Safety is stressed with campers in each activity area, as well.
  • At least one staff member is a nurse and a physician is always on call.
  • The daily schedule is planned to allow adequate rest for both campers and staff.
  • Hot nutritious meals are prepared and served in our Dining Hall. Fresh fruit and salads are available at every meal.
  • Camper to counselor ratio is 7 to 1; additional support staff bring the camper to staff ratio to 4 to 1.
  • The Texas State Health Department requires that the camper’s and staff’s medical form issued upon acceptance be properly filled out, including immunization records, and signed by a doctor or parent or guardian. Campers without this completed form will not be accepted into camp. Downloading of this form is available.
